On Saturday, September 6th, 2025 we had our Tell Every Amazing Lady® Brooklyn Run in Prospect Park, Brooklyn and our brand new Exhibition at Nitehawk Cinema. It was an amazing success. We had over 300 runners sign-up and our Exhibition was well attended. It was an incredibly moving day and it raised vital funds for our programs while spreading awareness about this often-overlooked disease.
Our 5K Run was kicked off by Dr. Melissa Frey from New-York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine. Our exhibition was a hit, featuring three full length films, fun activities in the Trees Lounge, performances by the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus, and access to onsite genetic testing from jscreen. Two of the films we made ourselves; the Amazing Lady (Survivor/Patient) Screening, featuring ovarian cancer survivors and the Magnolia Memorial Screening dedicated to those we’ve lost to ovarian cancer featuring personal photos and videos of loved ones, including a voiceover by Steve Buscemi. Our third film was Love, Gilda which Magnolia Pictures gave us access to use.
It was an amazing experience for everyone involved! We are forever grateful to those who made it possible, including our volunteers and our sponsors: jscreen, Maimonides Medical Center, Nitehawk Cinema, RMA of New York, Magnolia Pictures, Astrazeneca, ABC7 Eyewitness News, Spear Physical Therapy, Anomaly, Cancer Today, Young New Yorkers’ Chorus, EHL & Co., Go Fresh Produce, Connecticut Muffin, Terrace Bagels, Grande Cosmetics, TD Bank, New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine.
