For our 13th year in Savannah, we moved from Lake Mayer to Ellis Square, in the heart of Savannah, and reimagined our event. We created a shop, hunt, and walk event engaging local businesses and creating a fun game for the community, while raising awareness for ovarian cancer. Participants joined us in Ellis Square at 8:30am for festivities including the National Anthem, sponsor booths, a presentation of our Mayoral Proclamation, and the Girls Scout Pledge. Then we sent them off to local participating businesses for stamps and special discounts offered by some stores. After collecting enough stamps they joined us back in Ellis Square to get their ticket to the Andaz, Savannah, where we had a beautiful reception. We could not have done this event without the support of the City of Savannah and the Savannah Downtown Business Association, especially Mia Mance. We are so appreciative of all of our volunteers who helped pull this event together, specifically South University Kappa Psi students and Rachel Davis. We also want to shout-out the Andaz, Savannah for generously providing so many goodies for our registered participants.
